When writing a paper, we often times skip over the revising step. Revising our papers is important because it helps pick out the grammatical errors or unclear ideas and sentences that we might’ve missed when writing the paper. Chapter 9 focused on two ways of revising you paper: based on your own observations and based on peer review. I feel that revising based on peer review is especially important because it’s a different perspective or view on your paper that could lead to new and better ideas for you paper. Once you feel like your paper doesn’t need anymore revising, then you can move onto remixing, which is what we will be doing for project 3. Remixing your paper involves turning your finished paper into a different genre. “This may involve changing the purpose, audience, and/or message of your original piece.” However, this does not mean you need to do additional research in order to remix your paper. The point is to take the information you already have, your finished and revised paper and transforming it into something new.
